Resources & Core Facilities

Core Facilities and Resources in MCB provides state-of-the-art equipment and services to life sciences researchers at Brown.

The Leduc Bioimaging Facility, open to all investigators, provides equipment and training dedicated to high-resolution imaging in the life sciences.
Genomics Core Facility provides state-of-the-art genomics and proteomics equipment and services to researchers at Brown University, the entire Rhode Island research community and external customers.
The Proteomics Shared Resource Facility's mission is to provide well-maintained, state-of-the-art instrumentation and fundamental proteomics expertise to the Brown University and Rhode Island-EPSCoR scientific communities.
The Center for Animal Resources and Education is dedicated to supporting the education and research mission of Brown University, while maintaining compliance with federal, state and institutional regulations, guidelines and policies.
The primary role of the Mouse Transgenic & Gene Targeting Facility is to support the investigators in using genetically modified mouse models in Brown University, affiliated hospitals and academic institutions in Rhode Island and other states.
The Plant Environmental Center is comprised of six computer controlled research greenhouses totaling approximately 5,000 square feet.
The Sciara Stock Center is dedicated to providing stocks of the lower Dipteran fly, Sciara, to scientific researchers and educators.
